From KL Rahul to Yuvraj Singh: Cricket fraternity extend wishes to Rohit Sharma on his 35th birthday

Indian captain Rohit Sharma is celebrating his 35th birthday today (April 30). The cricket fraternity, including former and current players, extended their best wishes to the ‘Hitman’ of Indian cricket.

Rohit is currently leading the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2022.

Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar, who is at present serving MI as a mentor, passed wishes to his former teammate. He took to Twitter and wrote: “Wish you a happy birthday Rohit. Have a great year ahead.”

Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal came up with a heartwarming message for Rohit, terming the Mumbaikar as his ‘elder brother’.

“The love & respect for my Rohitaa Shramaa will always be constant on & off field Found my bade bhaiya Wishing you lifetime of happiness, amazing games & good health Happy birthday Hitman @ImRo45,” tweeted Yuzvendra.

Former India cricketer Suresh Raina called Rohit as ‘Master of cricket’ while extending his best wishes.

“My best wishes to the master of cricket @ImRo45 champ. You have made all of us proud & inspired generations to come! May God bless you with the best always! #HappyBirthdayRohitSharma,” tweeted Raina.

Rohit’s opening partner, KL Rahul, took to Twitter and wrote: “Birthday greetings to the hitman. Wishing you the best, Ro @ImRo45”

Former India opener Gautam Gambhir recalled his IPL days lavishing praise on Rohit for being the only skipper who gave him a tough time.

“Birthday greetings to the only batsman who’s given me nightmares as a captain. Thankfully I don’t captain anymore @ImRo45,” Gambhir captioned his post.

Left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav appreciated Rohit for being a big supporter and wrote: “Happy birthday Rohit Bhai. Appreciate your support always. Cheers to all the fun we have had together & all the wonderful memories to come. Enjoy your day. @ImRo45”

Ex-cricketer Yuvraj Singh shared a heartening video that featured his photos with the current India skipper.

“Happy birthday, brotherman this is the time to back yourself and hit it out of the park like you always have Sending you loads of love and good wishes on your special day @ImRo45,” tweeted Yuvraj.
