Yuzvendra Chahal picks three batters he wishes to dismiss in his dream hat-trick

Yuzvendra Chahal reveals his dream hattrick

Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is undoubtedly a high-quality bowler, especially in the shortest format. The leggie is broadly acknowledged for his remarkable accuracy and ability to trap the batters with top-of-the-line bowling.

Chahal is currently plying his trade for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. The right-armer is the leading wicket-taker in the fifteenth season with 24 scalps to his credit in 13 matches at an impressive average of 16.83.

Recently, Chahal shared his thoughts regarding the dream hat-trick he would like to take. The Jind born named two Indians and one South African player who would form his dream hat-trick. Chahal went with Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and AB de Villiers as his picks.

“One would be Virat Bhaiya, Rohit Bhaiya, and then I will go with AB Sir if he is playing, then definitely him,” said Chahal in a conversation with ESPNcricinfo.

Interestingly, Chahal has already taken a hat-trick in the ongoing IPL 2022. The leg-spinner accomplished the milestone in a match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) when he had dismissed Shreyas Iyer, Shivam Mavi, and Pat Cummins.

Chahal bagged the purple cap again after the match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) held at Brabourne Stadium on Sunday. Yuzi picked up one scalp for 42 runs in his quota of 4 overs to retain the purple cap. After the game, Chahal spoke about his competitors for the leading wicket-taker position – Wanindu Hasaranga (23) and Kuldeep Yadav (18)– stating he is happy to see other bowlers like Hasaranga and Kuldeep take wickets.

“(On his performance this season) When you contribute to the team, you’re always happy with that. Everyone is doing well, it’s not like only two people are performing. In every match, you can see 2-3 match-winners. (On Wanindu Hasaranga) Whatever he’s doing, I am happy for him because he’s like a brother to me. If he takes wickets, if Kuldeep takes wickets, I am happy with that,” said Chahal.
