The Super 4 game between Afghanistan and Pakistan at the ongoing Asia Cup 2022 will always be remembered as one of the most thrilling encounters. The match had a lot of ups and down, and in the end, Pakistan claimed victory by one wicket. Tailender Naseem Shah stole the limelight as he hit the first two balls of the final over for consecutive sixes to take the Men in Green in the final of the multi-team tournament.
The contest also witnessed a clash of emotions with players and fans from both sides involved in heated exchanges. The high-voltage drama started after Pakistan batter Asif Ali and Afghanistan pacer Fareed Ahmad indulged in a war of words.
The incident happened in the penultimate over when Asif smacked Fareed for a huge six on the fourth ball. But the bowler came back on the next delivery, managing to dismiss Asif with a perfect bouncer.
However, the Pakistan batter did not like how Fareed was celebrating the wicket as Asif first raised his bat, threatening to hit the bowler and shoving him with his elbow before other players and umpires intervened and brought the situation under control.
