Pakistan have made a solid start in the ongoing tri-series in New Zealand involving the hosts and Bangladesh as the other two sides. Pakistan first defeated Bangladesh in the opening match, and on Saturday, the Men in Green beat the Black Caps by six wickets to register their second consecutive victory.
Pakistan chased down the target of 148 in the penultimate over and strengthened their chances of making it into the final of the three-team series. Among the things that caught the attention of many fans, the hosts’ wicketkeeper Devon Conway‘s effort grabbed the maximum eyeballs.
It all happened in the 12th over of Pakistan’s chase bowled by fast bowler Tim Southee when Conway denied Pakistan a boundary courtesy of a mind-boggling effort.
Southee went for a slower delivery, and Shadab Khan walked across to the off-side for a ramp shot over the keeper. Conway decided to chase down the ball and displayed his unreal fitness and agility. He sprinted all the way near to the boundary rope before sliding in foot first as if he was putting in a football-style sliding tackle. Conway then deflected the ball back into play just before it reached the boundary rope.

In reply, Babar Azam led Pakistan from the front, playing an unbeaten knock of 79 off 53, with the help of 11 boundaries to help his side gun down the target.
