England and Pakistan locked horns in a T20 World Cup warm-up match at the Gabba in Brisbane on Monday (October 17). The Three Lions won the game comfortably, chasing down 161 with six wickets in hand.
Batting first, Pakistan posted 160/8 on the board in a rain-shortened 19 overs per-side game. Shan Masood top-scored for the Men in Green with a 22-ball 39.
Meanwhile, England all-rounder Liam Livingstone returned from a long injury layoff to bowl two overs (1-8) and then scored a crucial 28 off 16 in the chase. During his short stay in the middle, Livingstone hit one four and two gigantic sixes. One of his two maximums went onto the roof of the stadium, leaving everyone surprised.
It all happened in the ninth over of the second innings. Facing wrist-spinner Shadab Khan, the England power-striker shimmied down the pitch and swung hit bat will full force to send the ball in wide long-on area.

In the warm-up game, neither Babar Azam nor Mohammad Rizwan batted for Pakistan, who were captained by Shadab.
England used eight bowlers, with only Chris Jordan completing his full quota of four overs, while David Willey was the pick of the attack with figures of 2-22.
Buttler dropped the order – and did not walk in to bat – as Alex Hales and Phil Salt began England’s reply, although neither reached the double-figure mark. Ben Stokes (36 off 18), Harry Brook (45 not off 24) and Sam Curran (33 not off 14) were the main contributors with the willow for England.
