On the other hand, GT defeated SRH by 34 runs in Ahmedabad to confirm a playoff spot for themselves. Asked to bat first, Shubman Gill scored his maiden IPL century (101 off 58) and guided GT to 188/9 in 20 overs. SRH pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar returned with impressive figures of 5 for 30, played a crucial role in restricting GT below 200. In response, SRH were stopped at 154 for 9, thanks to four wickets each from Mohammed Shami and Mohit Sharma.

Pitch report:

The M. Chinnaswamy Stadium offers a batter-friendly track. The bowlers struggle at this venue as they receive very less help from the surface. However, spinners can obtain assistance from the pitch as the game progresses. A high-scoring encounter is expected to take place on Sunday evening.
