The CEAT Cricket Awards ceremony, a pinnacle of cricketing recognition, illuminated the cricketing landscape with its illustrious winners. The gala event, held in Mumbai on Monday night, saw some of the best international cricketers being honoured for their outstanding contributions to the sport.
The CEAT Cricket Awards, a coveted recognition in the cricketing world, were determined based on the CEAT Cricket Ratings (CRR), adding an element of objectivity to the accolades.
India’s dynamic opening batter, Shubman Gill, took the limelight as he was named the CEAT Men’s International Cricketer of the Year. Gill’s remarkable performances over the past year have solidified his stature as a rising star in the cricketing arena. Furthermore, he was also honoured with the CEAT ODI Batsman Cricketer of the Year award, underscoring his prowess in the limited-overs format.
Upon receiving these prestigious awards, Gill expressed his gratitude, saying, “I’m honoured to be selected as the recipient of the coveted CEAT Men’s International Cricketer of the Year. As a cricketer, it’s always about pushing boundaries, facing challenges head-on, and constantly improving to reach new heights. This recognition reinforces the parallel between our commitment to excellence and would encourage me to strive harder.”

Meanwhile, Williamson’s compatriot, Tim Southee, clinched the CEAT International Bowler of the Year Award, a testament to his prowess with the ball.
Amid the glitz and glamour of the ceremony, cricket legends Madan Ali, a member of the triumphant 1983 World Cup-winning squad, and Karsan Ghavri, former opening bowling partner to Kapil Dev, were bestowed with the prestigious CEAT Lifetime Achievement Awards. This recognition paid homage to their contributions to the sport and their lasting impact on the cricketing fraternity.
