Sanju Samson was the standout performer for India, smashing a sensational century. Samson scored a brilliant 108 runs off 114 balls, including 6 fours and 3 sixes. Tilak Varma contributed a crucial 52 runs, while Rajat Patidar and Rinku Singh played handy cameos of 22 and 38 runs respectively. India posted a competitive total of 296/8 in their allotted 50 overs. Beuran Hendricks was the pick of the South African bowlers, taking 3 wickets for 63 runs in his 9 overs.

In response, South Africa struggled to chase down the target, managing to score only 218 runs in 45.5 overs. Tony de Zorzi was the top scorer for South Africa, posting 81 runs off 87 balls. However, the rest of the batting lineup couldn’t provide substantial contributions. Arshdeep Singh was the star with the ball for India, claiming 4 wickets for 30 runs in his 9 overs, while Mukesh Kumar, Avesh Khan, Washington Sundar, and Axar Patel also chipped in with wickets.
