With the victory, Mumbai also became the first team to book their qualification in the playoffs at the ongoing tournament.

The toss favored Gujarat Giants Women, who elected to bat first. Gujarat Giants Women put up a competitive total of 190/7 in their allotted 20 overs. Beth Mooney‘s explosive 66 off 35 deliveries, along with Dayalan Hemalatha‘s aggressive 74 off 40 balls, propelled their team’s innings.

For the Mumbai Indians bowlers, Saika Ishaque (2 wickets for 31 runs) bagged two wickets while Hayley Matthews (1 wicket for 22 runs) and Shabnim Ismail (1 wicket for 30 runs) took one scalp apiece.

In response, Mumbai Indians Women chased down the target with only one ball to spare, reaching 191/3 in 19.5 overs. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur was once again the chief architect behind her side’s impressive win.

Harmanpreet led the charge with a sensational knock of 95 runs off 48 deliveries, which included 10 boundaries and 5 towering sixes. Yastika Bhatia‘s solid 49 off 36 balls also laid a strong foundation for the chase.
