Bhuvneshwar Kumar removes Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson; Kavya Maran reacts

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) edged out Rajasthan Royals (RR) by a narrow margin of 1 run in a thrilling IPL 2024 encounter at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Wednesday. Openers Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson, considered RR’s batting mainstays, were dismissed for ducks in the very first over, thanks to some exceptional bowling by Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s Swing Wrecks Havoc

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, known for his precise swing bowling, sent shivers down the spines of the RR batsmen. In the second ball of the RR innings, he induced an edge from Buttler, who was brilliantly caught at first slip by Marco Jansen. The dismissal left the Royals reeling at 0/1.

Bhuvneshwar wasn’t done yet. He showcased his repertoire of deliveries, mixing in-swingers and outswingers to unsettle Samson. But the magical ball was yet to come. Bowling over the wicket, Kumar delivered a sharp in-swinger that deceived Samson completely. The ball clipped the bails, sending the dangerous batsman back for a golden duck. The SRH dugout erupted in celebration, with even the team CEO Kavya Maran visibly ecstatic about the crucial wickets.
