Famous sports presenter and Jasprit Bumrah’s wife, Sanjana Ganesan, is celebrating her 32nd birthday today (May 6, 2023). Notably, Bumrah and Sanjana tied the knot in Goa on March 15, 2021. The premier India pacer took to his social media handle and shared a lovely message to wish his better half on her birthday.
Sharing a picture with Sanjana on her official Instagram, Bumrah wrote: “Sachi Tainu Sama Laake Rabb Ne Banaya. Happy birthday my happiness.” Meanwhile, Sanjana replied to Bumrah by commenting two cute emojis on his post.
Speaking of their relationship, Bumrah and Sanjana first interacted with each other during the 2019 ODI World Cup, after which they became very good friends. Bumrah had revealed the back story of his love life in an old interview with Dinesh Karthik, where he told how he and Sanjana used to think of each other as arrogant until they spoke for the first time.
In the same interview, the 29-year-old cricketer also talked about his bonding with Sanjana and the understanding they share.
“I had obviously seen her a lot of times but we had the same problem with each other. She thought I was really arrogant, I thought she was really arrogant so we never really spoke. I spoke to her for the first time during the 2019 World Cup when she was here covering the event. We became friends and started talking a lot,” said Bumrah in an interaction with Karthik in 2021.
“She understands the sport, she understands what the player goes through, so whenever things don’t go well or go well, we have a lot of interesting conversations, that really helps me,” he added.
On the work front, Bumrah recently underwent back surgery in New Zealand and is currently under the observation of the National Cricket Academy (NCA). The injury resulted in him getting ruled out from the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the upcoming WTC final. However, the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) is trying their best to get the star pacer fit ahead of the ODI World Cup at home later this year.
