Team Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) appears to still be stuck in the aftermath of the altercation that occurred with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) almost a week ago. Despite the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) responding to the incident with strict punishment, LSG pacer Naveen-ul-Haq and mentor Gautam Gambhir aimed a dig at RCB batter Virat Kohli in a cryptic Instagram post on Saturday.
The incident occurred when RCB avenged their previous loss to LSG, and Kohli and Gambhir engaged in a heated exchange of words. This altercation was preceded by a fight between Kohli and Naveen during the match that had to be stopped by the umpire. Later, both parties took aim at each other through Instagram posts.
Despite the BCCI fining Kohli his entire match fee for his part in the incident, he has remained silent on the matter. However, the day after the on-field altercation, Kohli had shared an Instagram story, seemingly in reaction to the incident that took place at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.
Sharing a popular quote from Marcus Aurelius – who was a Roman Emperor from 161 to 180 AD, the Delhi-lad wrote: “Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is the perspective, not the truth.”
Now, on Saturday (May 6), Naveen took a savage dig at Kohli, sharing an Instagram post featuring LSG mentor Gambhir. The post was captioned with the words, “Treat people the way you want to be treated. Talk to people the way you want to be talked to #With (GOAT emoticon).”
Moments later, Gambhir responded with the words, “Be who you are!! ‘Never Change’.”
